Filtering, Culling and Redaction: Once the
data is acquired, SecureImpact will work with clients to apply the
appropriate logic and technology to reduce the volume of
ESI to meet matter-specific criteria. People and timeframes associated
with each matter are typical criteria variables that are applied.
Further filtering is achieved through targeted keyword searching. We
perform the redaction process following the redaction instructions of
the attorney and their legal review team.
Data Formatting: Formatting ESI for legal
review is often determined by weighing many factors such as file content
preservation, file metadata preservation, tagging files for
identification and redaction, and file content search ability. Various
technologies are applied to format the data for legal review such as
making an email readable in native Outlook file format or making an
email into a TIFF image while at the same time preserving and presenting
the metadata associated with that email.
Other Services:
Bates Numbering and creation of load files for commonly used legal
review software tools such as Summation and Concordance.
